His works are held in numerous private collections and museums worldwide, including in Italy, France, China, South Korea and Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of his 40-year career, he has participated in 108 international sculpture events, received awards at 23 international art competitions and taken part in more than 150 group exhibitions worldwide. Marble, granite, basalt, travertine, sandstone, limestone&#8230; The wide range of possibilities inherent in stone itself, including its colour, structure, hardness, porosity and resonance, the warmth monumental sculpture conceived for open spaces. This is evident above all in sculptural forms designed to be viewed and discovered from different angles, and to be perceived and experienced amid the atmosphere and constantly changing light of an outdoor setting, which continually reveals new and different relationships between light and shadow across the work itself. His sculptures are composed of several distinct elements, combining geometric and organic forms, even when carved from a single block of stone, thereby revealing a wealth of different facets and ways of experiencing the sculpture. Contrasting the \u201csoftness\u201d of floating circular forms with the rigour of geometric shapes, straight lines and sharp angles, the artist brings them together into a unified, harmonious form. Alongside the carefully conceived sculptural whole, he achieves this through a considered choice of stone and the manner in which it is worked. For this type of sculpture, he chooses the brilliant whiteness of marble, but also the dark lustre of black granite. The plinths on which he places such sculptures are sometimes left roughly worked, so that the robust presence of the stone in its raw state further accentuates the delicacy with which the surface of the sculptural form itself has been treated. With their fullness and clear, clean planes, both in their individual forms and as complete compositions, sculptures of this type convey a compelling sense of monumentality, regardless of the small dimensions of some of the works. Another type of sculpture in his oeuvre, composed of several kinds of stone, may not possess the same pronounced monumentality, yet its vivid character draws the eye, inviting it to move slowly across every detail and take in the diversity of forms and the varied structures and textures of the stone.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\"
